The
JNU is one of India 's
over 850 universities. It constitutes 0.12 % of the total
Universities existing in India .
In number of students JNU has approx 8500 students whereas the total enrollment
of students in all other Universities is approx 3 Crores i.e. the JNU students
constitute 0.028 % of India 's
College Student population !
Yet
from the Media attention they get, the rowdyism they indulge in, in the name of "student freedom" the
anti-national sloganeering they engage in, in the name of "intellectual
fashion" and the mollycoddling they
demand and get for their uncouth, illegal and idiotic behaviour clearly
suggests that they belong to some "untouchable Brahmin aristocracy" that
India is fortunate to be blessed with.
Why
is this so ?
Nothing
about the accomplishments of the JNU students suggests that they have any
superior talent, capability or commitment to the nation or the plight of its
poor and down-trodden, though all their crimes in college are committed in the
name of the latter.
The
real strength of JNU is not in their intellectual accomplishments or hard work
but in their tribe that dominates the bureaucratic corridors of power viz., the
IAS & the IPS and the English-language Media.
If you are from JNU, Presidency, St. Stephen's
or similar, you are guaranteed selection
and plum postings in IAS, IPS and IRS because it is their ilk who sit in the Interview
Boards. The current bureaucracy is dominated by people from this same lineage - JNU/Presidency/St.Stephen's etc..
This is where their power and
comforts come from and more important their protection - do you see the complete
helplessness, reluctance and abhorrence at taking action against these JNU goondas by anyone from the Govt. System - no matter which political party is in power ?
Do you also see the glorification and "sympathetic understanding" shown about JNU students' atrocious Goonda behaviour by the English-language Media, whether Print or Electronic ?
Hence,
if you want to straighten out these JNU rascals, it is this "behind-the-scenes" strength that needs to be cut-off. Here are a few actionable
steps the Govt. can take :
a) Constitute every Interview Board such that no more
than 2 persons or less than 20 % of the members are from these aristocratic
colleges like JNU, St. Stephen’s, Presidency
etc.
b) Make it a rule that no more than 2 % of the selections
to the UPSC can be from a single college/University - this will restrict these gangsters' numbers to a maximum of 10 %, considering that there are about 5 such favoured
colleges. There is nothing new or strange about such a rule - IIM's similarly restrict
admission to their PG Programmes of students from IIT's as they found that because
of their analytical training and clear English language advantage, IITians were forming 80 to 90 % of the successful
toppers.
c) In case of PG students
doing Master's Programme, failure should
be permitted only twice i.e. a person must complete his Master's in a maximum of
4 years (instead of the usual 2). If he fails a
second time he/she will have to leave the University. This is also the prevalent rule in many
colleges/Universities including the IITs.
d) In case of PhD students, maximum 5 years allowed for
successful submission / completion of their Doctoral programme, else,
once again, they have to leave the University.
Steps b) and c) will automatically restrict the exploitation
of the cheap resources of JNU by the leftist leeches and give opportunity to more
deserving students.
e) All the Hostel, Admission,
Exam and Administrative Fees/Charges/Deposits will be deducted every month or
every quarter from the Scholarship being paid to any student (wherever such
scholarship is being paid) and then only the balance scholarship amount will be disbursed. This will attack the problem at the root and
this whole drama of resisting "higher fees" will be nipped in the
bud. It is scandalous that those who are
getting Rs. 35,000/-per month as scholarship are refusing to pay up increased charges
of a few hundred Rupees per month, just to
disturb the whole system.
Another major benefit of this step will be to reduce cash transactions, queues at the Fee Office and reduction in associated paper-work and accounting.
f) No non-JNU student or faculty should be allowed in the
campus between 11 pm and 7 am. This should
be rigorously imposed by Campus Security.
h) No non-JNU
student/person can live in JNU Hostels and, if found. that person along with the
student who accommodated him should be forthwith expelled.
i) Anyone found guilty of willfully damaging University Property, equipment or disrupting any services will be fined heavily and if found guilty of the same crime a second time immediately expelled.
If such damage is indulged in by a group and only a few people can be identified and not the rest. then all those belonging the "identified group" will be fined - e.g. students of the whole department or of the whole hostel or of the whole batch.
Even though the above Note has been written keeping in mind JNU, the above rules should be announced and made applicable to all Centrally Administered Universities/Colleges/Institutes and Central Govt. Institutions established
by Act of Parliament.
It will be enough
to bring these rascals to heel and will definitely drive other colleges be it
State Govt. or Private
Colleges to adopt same or
similar disciplinary actions. This will also prevent the birth of new JNU's in the future.
JNU, itself, will get cleansed in a year.
